Ridgeview Estate Vineyard is a family business based in Ditchling Beacon, near the highest point on the Sussex Downs and the six and a half hectare vineyard is dedicated to producing great quality sparkling wine using traditional Champagne varieties and methods. Famously, the combination of chalk and clay in the Downland area of South East England bears an uncanny similarity to the Champagne region.
Ridgeview are long considered to be one of the top two sparkling wine makers in the UK (along with Nyetimber) and the Ridgeview Cuvée Merret Bloomsbury is this Sussex vineyards signature wine.
